Our hemp leggings have gone through their biggest fit refinement yet. We've made the upgrades and put them through the testing, so you can buy your next piece of natural fibre activewear with confidence.
Why we went back to the drawing board
Our hemp leggings have always been built from our signature Hemp Stretch Jersey — 52% hemp, 43% organic cotton, 5% spandex, at 300gsm — designed to hold their shape through a full squat or deep forward fold. But we've been listening to your requests and made some deliberate upgrades have made this piece of natural fibre activewear genuinely better.
What changed
Three refinements, all in service of fit
What's different
No more front crotch seam. A seamless front line means a smoother, more flattering silhouette from every angle — and one less point of friction moving through deep stretches. Less construction, more comfort.
Natural rubber in the waistband. The upgraded waistband now carries a thin band of natural rubber elastic for a little extra security without digging in or sacrificing comfort.
We merged our previous full length and 7/8 style legging into one style - the Horizon legging. It comes in both full length and 7/8 lengths with the same waist dimensions and construction details. Our hemp leggings are now available in both 7/8 and full length.
We use our Hemp stretch fabric blend in our Horizon Leggings. We've learnt a lot about natural fibre fabrics over the last few years. Unlike synthetic fabrics, each natural fibre batch is different because every fibre is different. So we've set standards with our fabric mill that every batch of Hemp stretch exceeds 300gsm to ensure maximum coverage.
The one thing to get right
What not to do: don't size down
We designed our hemp leggings to run true to Australian standard sizing, however, we understand that our beautiful customers come in all shapes and sizes. If you're between sizes, or tempted to size down "for compression," don't. Our activewear includes a minimal 5% spandex. It has optimal stretch but is won't stretch like 100% synthetic fabric, so if you push it past its natural give the fibres thin out under tension. This can make the fabric see-through in exactly the areas you don't want it to be. So we recommend, following our size guide. If you find inconsistency with your measurements, we recommend following the hip measurement for leggings.
Buy the size that matches your usual fit. Let the fabric sit at the stretch it's designed for, and it does its job properly — squat proof, supportive, and moving with you instead of against you.
