Online yoga has forged a unique path in the wellness world, allowing us to connect to our zen, to move and breathe together from anywhere, at any time. We know how important it is for yoga to fit into your lifestyle, so you can choose how you want to move, for how long and to have a team of experienced teachers to guide you through your journey.
What to expect with ZONE online yoga
Our online library is designed for yogis of all levels, whether you are seeking a progressive practice or if it’s the very first time you’ve rolled out your yoga mat, you’ll find what you need In The ZONE.
Our videos combine high quality teachings with beautiful scenery from different corners of the globe including from Lydia’s home in the snow-capped mountains of Lapland, Finland and sunrises over the ocean of Australia’s iconic east coast.
We have begun with three core, dedicated ZONE yoga teachers; Dhali, Hunter and Sarah who you can practice alongside through the videos. We will also include guest classes from other renowned yoga teachers as we continue to expand our library.
What makes ZONE online yoga unique?
Traditionally, a student of yoga is given a practice by their teacher, when they are ready to receive it, although with the abundance of offerings available in our modern world, it has become commonplace to rush through practices and experiences, without squeezing all the juice from each teaching. This is why we have designed our online yoga platform to encourage students to enjoy each practice multiple times to unlock the myriad of benefits in each layer of teaching. Slowing down and practicing in this more traditional way can help unlock the deeper therapeutic benefits of yoga:
- You will develop structure and routine. In an ever- changing world, it is grounding and comforting to show up on your mat knowing what to expect.
You will cultivate, self-discipline and commitment to yourself. In yogic philosophy this is known as tapas, discipline or burning passion. Tapas is one of the Niyamas (moral observances) of Patanjali’s 8 Limbs of Yoga.
Tapas in our physical practice can mean leaning mindfully into our edge within the practice and having the discipline to practise consistently. For some, Tapas will mean making time to be still and observing the mind, and for others, it’ll mean working on strength and practising the same sequence for several weeks until it becomes like second nature, to truly feel the intended effects of the yoga.
- Over time, by following a set sequence you will be able to access more depth, strength and flexibility and you will notice the change in your body and mind that may not be as accessible with a frequently changing practice. Svadhyaya is the fourth Niyama of Patanjali and means ‘self-study’. Svadhyaya has the potential to deepen our yoga practice on and off the yoga mat, by helping release the ego and learning to listen to and align with our true beliefs and intuition. By diving into the self-study that comes with repeated practice, we can begin to release judgement, criticism, fears and doubts. By paying attention and practicing self study, we become more confident in our movement on the yoga mat and begin to recognise and release unhelpful patterns, slow the waves of the mind (chitta vrittis) and can connect more deeply to our true nature.
- Minimising the change in external factors allows for greater self-awareness and mindfulness. In other words, you might find yourself dropping into The ZONE more easily. As your body follows familiar movements, your breathing becomes easeful and your focus will be improved. Our online yoga platform is designed to help you find your ZONE, which is why we encourage repeating practices so that you can have more of these powerful moments in The ZONE.
How the ZONE online yoga library works
We don’t always have the same amount of time available to us and sometimes too much choice makes it hard to decide where to start. That’s why we have categorised our ZONE library in several different ways – so you’ll always find the perfect class to match your needs. You can choose your class by teacher, by practice length, by style of class (ie, Asana, Meditation, Pranayama), or by experience level.
How much does online yoga cost?
Our community is important to us. And we know that by choosing to support our ZONE products, clothing and lifestyle that you are also making a choice for the planet, for a more sustainable future. That’s why we want to say thank you by offering the first 2 weeks of access to ZONE Online Yoga as a complimentary gift. We want you to experience the state of being in The ZONE with us and to share our love of yoga and mindfulness. After your two weeks of free online yoga, it’s just $4.75 per week for you to practice as many times as you like, on your own schedule.
